Thanks Rosie for your good technical description of Handistep over the phone, please find attached is a picture of my son Ian in this years Scottish Six Days Trial, only finished 12th this year after a 3rd last year. He and the people around his number really suffered from the weather on the Monday which really cost them high marks due to flooded streams -but that's the SSDT! Wet muddy weather with the bikes we really needed a grippy rear step for our 2004 Ford Transit 350 MWB RWD van. Your V184/185 – Handistep Transit STEP031 fitted easily, instructions were comprehensive and now getting in and out is a lot easier it acts as a Bumper type Step with good grip which makes loading the Van with the Trials Bikes much easier. The animals enter through a side door via an access ramp which has been load tested up to 1 tonne. They travel facing backwards, (tests have shown they prefer it this way round, see Transporting Backwards for further information) in an area covered by tough rubber underfoot and up to 4ft high on the surrounding walls. A very sturdy divider is used to keep them in place.
