In response to the demand from the market place, Handistep have designed yet another innovative twin rear safety step for tow bar applications.
Taking into account the problems that surround reversing with a trailer, the HandiTow Step has a wider jaw angle to accommodate different types of ‘A’ Frames on trailers to reduce possible damage to the step whilst reversing.
This has been achieved by the reduction in the metalwork framework because of the design / construction of the Handistep antislip self cleaning tread.
Pre treated metalwork and finished in yellow polyester powder coat ensures the HandiTow Step is highly visual whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing.
The Handistep product range improvement is ongoing as recently seen with the latest addition to all of the step range they feature with an approved bespoke four reverse sensor kit now available to ensure best possible safe reversing and audible warning for the driver. This has already become a standard feature with some major fleets as any additional safety that can be afforded to both operative and public is an improvement. The reverse sensors are installed during production of the step or indeed can now be retrofitted into existing steps.
The sensor kit is bespoke to Handistep and is specially manufactured to Handistep’s stringent design parameters and gives additional peace of mind to Fleet Managers that all avenues of vehicle / operative safety has been addressed.
The Handistep product continues to support Fleet Managers offering a unique product which is both affordable and well engineered and helps minimise fleet safety risks.

The long awaited HandiTow Step – Part number…. STEP123 was launched at the CV Show and was a Big Hit with many fleets who until now had to “Make do” with what was available on the UK market.

Pre treated zinc phosphate metalwork and finished in yellow polyester powder coat ensures the HandiTow Step is highly visual whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing.
Installation is simple as the part number implies STEP 123 and should additional parts be required such as our four position 7 pin bracket for vehicle electrics or longer M16 bolt assemblies; both of which can be ordered being available from stock.
For the larger 4x4 owners who need roof access to the top rails, HandiTow Step is also available in a Black Satin metalwork finish for vehicle aesthetics; as in some cases, individuals do not want the step to “stand out” from the vehicle body colour.
