Handistep Happiness for 1996 Transit Camper!
"Martin Topping of Swindon loves his ol’ faithful 1996 Transit Camper Van and saw Handistep advertised in MMM Motorhome Media Magazine the Campers Bible’ and was disappointed that Handistep started our first designs on Ford Transits in 2000 for BT Fleet, Police and Council Fleets!....this did not stop Martin’s determination to have a Bespoke Handistep made to Fit his own Camper Van. So in March 2007 Martin decided to buy a Ford Transit Handistep design STEP031 and have the outriggers professionally re-engineered to fit his family 1996 Ford Camper Van, because he was determined to provide this same unique van Safety and Peace of Mind with reversing sensors like friends have on their New Motor Homes fitted with Handistep.
Now on the wet summer mornings his Family step in & out of back of van, and enjoy the Larger, Anti slip- Self Cleaning Treads. Also Martin is pleased with the strong metal frame/outrigger bumper type and the Reverse Sensor options help reduce van damage, but more importantly……Increased Reversing Safety with close proximity of children playing and animals on the campsites ….so now Martin feels more confident when reversing in a close community camp site.
Martin has sent us pictures of his beloved Transit Camper Van fitted with Handistep and he feels its improved his Family and Van Safety… and less likely to have van damage/repair costs….and less occasion to hurt anyone on camp sites, less inconvenience of van being off the road for repairs…which means less chance of cancelled holiday breaks or lost campsite booking fees! Martin and his Family are over the moon with their new Handistep."
